●●●CONGREGATIONAL NEWS

Welcome! Please be sure to fill out the Member/Guest card found in the pew. Whether you are a guest or disciple of Faith Lutheran congregation your presence in worship is important to us. If you have requests for specific needs or prayers please be sure to note them on this card.

Scrip Sales – May 22   Purchase gift cards for Menards, McDonalds, Wissota Meat Market, Gordy’s and Kwik Trip. Our youth group has been selling gift cards (scrip) to facilitate fundraising for the 2013 National Youth Gathering. The youth funds are getting a 1% to 10% return. Questions? Contact Jean Volrath.

It's time to start thinking about VBS!  We have our dates set!  Carnival Kickoff is on Saturday, August 3rd.  The VBS program is on Sunday, August 4th -Tuesday, August 6th from 5:15 p.m. to about 8:15 p.m.  We need your help with the different aspects! Sign-up in the narthex today.

An all congregational Circuit-Wide Bike Ride is being planned for Saturday, June 1 (9am – 2:30pm). Meet here at church at 9am (or) at Peace Lutheran, EC by 9:30am. We are gathering with fellow LCMS churches in Eau Claire (Peace, Epiphany, Our Redeemer, Bethlehem) for this event. Bring a dish to pass (which will be transported to the park’s pavilion). A sign-up for participation is available in the narthex. Questions? Contact Mike Kipp.

The results of the “Sharing of the Peace” survey have been tabulated! This past week council met and decided to forego “Sharing the Peace” during worship services. The general consensus was 50/50; thus council decided not to offer this option during worship.

It’s that time of year again! Time to fill shifts at Country Fest (June 27-30)  Here’s how it works, if you volunteer to work you get a free pass to Country Fest and they donate money to our youth. Last year we filled our shifts and earned funds for our youth program. We are arm-banding in the parking lot and running armbands/parking passes to and from the cashiers and vehicles. No figuring out money involved. Remember this is an excellent way for youth to earn money for their accounts if their parents, relatives, etc. work it or if they are over 16 they can work it (with an adult from our congregation). Contact Julie Schaller for more information.

Looking for a new career? Why not consider Thrivent Financial? They offer wonderful benefits and you’d be working in Chippewa Falls! Contact Jennie Childs at 715.834.4761

ATTN: Women of Faith -- The spring issue of LWML Quarterly is available from the table in the narthex.

Thank You! To Lehmen & Sandra Larson for providing flowers for our planters. It is appreciated.
