The Mission Statement of the LCMS: In grateful response to God’s grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities and the world.
The Seven Mission Priorities of the LCMS:
1. Plant, sustain, and revitalize Lutheran churches.
2. Support and expand theological education.
3. Perform human care in close proximity to Word and Sacrament ministries.
4, Collaborate with the Synod’s members and partners to enhance mission effectiveness.
5. Promote and nurture the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of pastors and professional church workers.
6. Enhance early childhood, elementary and secondary education, and youth ministry.
7. Strengthen and support the Lutheran family in living out God’s design. -
North Wisconsin District LCMS
The Mission of the North Wisconsin District of the LCMS is to bring Christ and His Word to people. They have a vision to:
- Foster Lutheran Education and build families and children of faith and character, freeing them to live in His image - to serve.
- Revitalize our smaller congregations, helping them reach the lost.

Concordia University Wisconsin
Concordia University Wisconsin is part of the Concordia University System (CUS). The CUS is comprised of 10 colleges and universities affiliated with the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. The university system educates students across a broad range of professional fields, and also offers professional church career education in the areas of Pre-Seminary studies, Lutheran teacher training, parish music, and church ministries leadership.

Concordia Seminary - St. Louis
Today, Concordia Seminary is one of two private seminaries of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) providing men for the holy ministry of Word and Sacrament in the LCMS, preparing women through its Deaconess Studies program and offering advanced degree programs to qualified students of theology. It also serves as a center for theological research, scholarship and continuing education of the clergy. Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) has served as the financial extension of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) since 1978, offering funding and resources in support of the church. Our investors make it possible for us to provide customized loans and support services to new and growing ministries as well as loans for Rostered Church Workers who dedicate their lives to sharing the Gospel. Lutheran Hour Ministries
In 1992, due to the popularity of The Lutheran Hour radio program, the International Lutheran Laymen's League chose Lutheran Hour Ministries as the overall identity for its media outreach programs. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Lutheran Hour Ministries continues to explore new media and to expand its use of others to serve congregations as a partner in God’s mission.
Today, through ministry programs such as The Lutheran Hour, International Ministries, Men's NetWork, LHM Learn, and others, Lutheran Hour Ministries is calling our communities, our country and our world back to God.
